PHILOSOPHY
...If you look deeply enough into your community...
...you will find yourself...
Although genres may differ in surface aesthetic, all music is most fundamentally a form of communication - it comes alive when we continually listen, learn and take compassionate action.
When we create this quality of connection with ourselves and our fellow bandmates - when we all serve the music, and each other, moment by moment - something special happens. A shared focus emerges, and the sound of the ensemble unifies.
Some call it "Flow State", others call it "being in The Zone", others still call it "The Pocket" or "Unification" or "the Ecstatic". Whatever the label, that feeling — and the conditions that create it — is what I seek to cultivate.
It transcends genre, cultural identification, and even technical skill. It comes from presence, mutual respect, and the continual intention to create something beautiful together. When we show up like that... the sky is the limit.
