PHILOSOPHY

...If you look deeply enough into your community...

...you will find yourself...

Although genres may differ in surface aesthetic, all music is most fundamentally a form of communication - it comes alive when we continually listen, learn and take compassionate action.

When we create this quality of connection with ourselves and our fellow bandmates - when we all serve the music, and each other, moment by moment - something special happens. A shared focus emerges, and the sound of the ensemble unifies.

Some call it "Flow State", others call it "being in The Zone", others still call it "The Pocket" or "Unification" or "the Ecstatic". Whatever the label, that feeling — and the conditions that create it — is what I seek to cultivate.

It transcends genre, cultural identification, and even technical skill.  It comes from presence, mutual respect, and the continual intention to create something beautiful together. When we show up like that... the sky is the limit.

Take Lessons With Eladio!

Eladio currently offers private drum lessons for students of all levels — from complete beginners to working professionals. He emphasizes the importance of both the energetic side of the craft — Listening, singing, dancing, feel, tone, breath, character, intention and connection — and the intellectual side — rhythmic concepts, reading, ear training, technique, transcription and repetition / internalization, awareness of context — as well as how these two sides relate to and reinforce each other. His goal is to help you not only play drums, but understand and embody music on a deeper level.

Each session is also customized to your specific goals (if you have any). Whether you’re, improving your technique, internalizing musical language, learning repertoire, exploring improvisation, working through performance anxiety, or taking a stab at songwriting and digital music production, Eladio's got your back.

Lessons are offered on a sliding scale, typically between $80–$120 per hour. If that range isn’t doable for you, don’t hesitate to reach out — Eladio thinks music education should be accessible and will do his best to make it work.
